WELCOME WIS!
The WIS Parents Association (WISPA) takes the lead in organizing an annual event, with games, food, and other options for family fun. Neighbors are invited to join us on campus, creating a true community event.
This year's Welcome WIS! event is Saturday, September 28. The day begins with a Fun Run on the Tregaron Campus starting at 10:30 AM. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, all members of our community are encouraged to join in the fun at Tregaron. There will be a moonbounce, obstacle course, face painting and games for the kiddos, plus food (courtesy of WISPA) and ice cream. We hope our Middle and Upper School students will enjoy the Clothing Swap is support of sustainability...and we'll have some WIS gear for sale so you can show your school spirit.
ANNUAL FUNDRAISER FOR FINANCIAL AID
This annual event, also known as the Financial Aid Auction, raises hundreds of thousands in support of Financial Aid. Over the years the event has had a variety of themes, and taken place both on and off campus. The photos on this page are from the April 2024 Club WIS event held at the OAS Building in downtown Washington, DC. Attendees raised over $500,000 for financial aid and had a fabulous time!
WIS GIVING DAYS
A relatively new tradition, “WIS Giving Days” is a fall campaign focused on securing support for the Annual Fund. The fall 2023 campaign resulted in overwhelming support from the WIS community, with 364 individuals contributing and collectively raising over $257,000 in support of our Annual Fund.
During 2023 Giving Days, we achieved an unprecedented milestone in the history of WIS, setting a new record for the most donations ever received during Giving Days. What's more, thanks to a generous $100,000 in matching donations, every gift received made an even greater impact.
We are so grateful to all those who took part, showed their support and contributed so generously. Thank you!
